At a certain point in almost every business, the time comes when the decision is made to go online. This may seem like a fairly easy task, but it can be very daunting. For example, how will you portray yourself online? Will it be the same as your brick and mortar store, or will it be different? If so, HOW different? It is important to remember that when you go online, we will take care of putting your website name into the search engines, but a "marketing blitz" on your part is usually required as well. What this means is simple: before the site goes online, be sure to get new business cards with your website address on it. Maybe some fliers to hand out to customers that come into your store, or an email campaign. Whatever method you choose, it is important to remember that the more people there are that know about your online store, the more likely they are to tell their friends, and the more you will likely sell.

Once the decision is made to take that next step and put your business online, this is where I come in. I will work with you personally to design a site that is pleasing to you in every way. Your personal input and ideas are what I need, to be sure that you are completely happy with the final product.

Many times, a website is designed and set loose on the internet, only to find that there is no traffic for the site. Luckily, I include search engine optimization as one of the key elements of web design. This is done mainly in a way that is transparent to the average user. The methods that I use are out of the scope of this article, but I can guarantee that, for the most part, you will not notice the methods that I use.

Planning a website is one of the things I do best. It really is quite exciting to sit with my customers and sketch the preliminary view of what they would like the website to look like. I gather information from my customers, then decide what to do "behind the scenes" to accomplish your goals.
